Greeting
Vice President of the Korean Society of Echocardiography Mi-Seung Shin
Dear all members,
I am Shin Mi-seung, the Vice President of the Korean Society of Echocardiography for 2024 and a cardiologist at Gachon University Gil Medical Center. I am very pleased to meet with all of you again through this newsletter. First and foremost, I would like to express my deep gratitude to all the members who have been working tirelessly for the remarkable development of our society despite their busy daily lives. Without your efforts and passion, we could not have achieved the successes we enjoy today. As Vice President, I am deeply honored to serve in this role, and I will work closely with President Jung Jo-won and Chairman Jung Hae-ok to strengthen communication with members and actively support the various initiatives of our society.
Since becoming a member in 1999, I have personally grown and made many valuable connections through the society. My experience contributing to the development of the society has been of great significance to me. In particular, when I served as the Director of Planning and Public Relations in 2010, I was responsible for creating the first newsletter, which has since become something I hold dear. At that time, the newsletter was rare, and the support of the Planning and Public Relations Committee was crucial in making it successful. I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude to several individuals. First, I am deeply thankful to Chairman Yoon Ho-joong for believing in me and providing full support. I would also like to thank Prof. Yang Hyun-sook from Konkuk University, who helped establish the framework for the newsletter, as well as Prof. Yoon Se-jeong from National Health Insurance Service Ilsan Hospital, who kindly requested a favor from a friend for the cover design. I am also grateful to that friend who created the futuristic and wonderful cover design for free. I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Prof. Kim Hyung-kwan from Seoul National University and Prof. Cho Kyung-im from Kosin University, who devoted a great deal of time to creating valuable content for the quarterly newsletters. I hope the newsletter will continue to be the most approachable communication tool for all members.

One of the greatest strengths of our society is the opportunity to share diverse research and knowledge and to exchange experiences with one another, and I will do my best for more lively discussions and collaborations. Observing the dedication of the President, Chairman, and many passionate board members over the past 25 years, I regret not contributing more during that time. As Vice President, I will strive to work with all of you to further brighten the future of our society, and I look forward to continuing our collaboration for the society's ongoing development.
Once again, thank you for your continued interest and support, and I encourage your active participation moving forward. Wishing you all good health and happiness.
Thank you.
