On March 12, the 6th KSE Echo Webinar was successfully held under the theme of “Assessment of Intracardiac Structures and Congenital Heart Disease.” Just like the previous five webinars that received great responses, this event also saw the participation of hundreds of physicians eager to learn echocardiography.

The webinar was composed of four lectures, each delivered by four outstanding professors who prepared excellent presentations. Professor Kim Mi-jung’s lecture on “Normal Variants within the Heart” was highly informative, as she explained various common normal variants encountered in clinical practice alongside actual anatomical findings. Professor Nah Jin-oh presented on “Intracardiac Masses,” showing a wide range of pathologically confirmed cases of diagnostically challenging cardiac masses, which proved to be extremely helpful. Professors Nam Jong-ho and Park Joon-bin covered “Congenital Heart Disease with Shunt,” delivering a compact and valuable session encompassing fundamental pathophysiology, key imaging findings, diagnostic strategies, and treatment directions. Their lectures, enriched with practical tips and core points, received a very positive response from the audience.

During the lectures, many questions were submitted in real time. Professor Kim Dae-young and I participated as Chat Facilitators, responding to questions directly or relaying them to the studio for discussion during the Q&A session. At first, we were concerned due to the low number of questions, but soon, a flood of inquiries poured in, clearly reflecting the passionate atmosphere of the session. The questions ranged from common yet clinically challenging issues to intriguing case-based discussions. Selected questions were addressed in an active and engaging discussion moderated smoothly by Professor Jung Woo-baek. It was a meaningful opportunity to hear the deep insights of the various faculty members.

Participating in this webinar made me realize once again how the KSE Echo Webinar continues to improve in content depth, execution, and structure with each session. The consistently high satisfaction from attendees and the increasing requests for more sessions clearly show that this webinar is becoming a significant platform for echocardiography education.

Such an excellent webinar was made possible thanks to the academic committee’s thoughtful planning and dedicated preparation. I sincerely hope that even more people will take part in the future and that learning opportunities will continue to grow. I truly support the continued success and development of the KSE Echo Webinar.
