Greetings

President of the Korean Society of Echocardiography Goo-Yeong Cho

Dear Members of the Korean Society of Echocardiography,

It brings me great joy to greet you through this newsletter as the harsh winter winds give way to the warm embrace of spring. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to lead our society as the new President, and I feel a profound sense of responsibility and mission to prepare our society for the next decade.

Our society has achieved steady growth through the dedication and passion of our members. We now stand at yet another turning point. Artificial intelligence has already permeated deeply into our society, and the pace of AI advancement in medicine is surpassing our imagination. These changes present us with both opportunities and a call for a new vision and strategy. In the midst of this transformative era, I would like to present our society's vision as sustainable growth grounded in education, AI and digital innovation, and social responsibility.

First, innovation in education. Based on your feedback that education is the society's most vital role, we will pursue the development of systematic educational programs including customized curricula, research grants for young researchers, and the establishment of a digital education platform. By combining hands-on, practice-based programs with online content, we will strengthen further the society's educational capacity.

Second, future strategy and digital innovation. A standardized, society-wide strategy for artificial intelligence is essential. To this end, we will establish an AI and Future Strategy Committee to lay the foundation for echocardiography to become a core tool in precision medicine and digital diagnostics.

Third, expanding our social responsibilities. The society will fulfill a public role that goes beyond academic achievement. Through a range of community outreach initiatives, including mobile echocardiography clinics for medically underserved areas and educational programs on the prevention of heart disease, we will share our expertise with society.

I will strive to develop the Korean Society of Echocardiography into more than just an academic organization, into a community that designs the future together. I will listen closely to your voices and work alongside you to shape the direction of our society through open communication and collaboration. As we embark on this new season, I wish each of you good health and happiness. I also hope that your work in research and clinical practice brings you both fulfillment and achievement.

Thank you.

Goo-Yeong Cho,
President of the Korean Society of Echocardiography
