On Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM, the Korean Society of Echocardiography held its New Year’s Greeting Ceremony at the Belle-Vue Suite on the 36th floor of Lotte Hotel Seoul. This event marked the beginning of the New Year and became a moment to reflect on the society's journey and to reaffirm our commitment to a new leap forward.

The KSE logo ice sculpture illuminating the entrance and the group photo taken together with our sponsors were a symbolic representation of the strong community that defines our society. The warm exchange between the outgoing and incoming general secretaries conveyed a sense of continuity and stability within the organization.

A particularly moving moment came when a plaque of appreciation was presented to the former President Jeong Hae-Eok, in recognition of his unwavering dedication throughout his tenure. The room was filled with deep respect and gratitude for his service. This was followed by remarks from Professor Sohn Dae-Won, a longtime mentor of our society, which reminded us all that the growth we celebrate today was built upon the efforts of those who came before us.

On behalf of the newly inaugurated 2026–2027 Executive Board, incoming President Dr. Cho Goo-Yeong presented the society's vision for the years ahead. Under the guiding principle of "Innovate through education, lead through research, and grow through collaboration," he expressed a firm commitment to further strengthening the society's expertise and its standing on the international stage. This was a clear and resolute message about preparing the Korean Society of Echocardiography for its next chapter.

The energy and enthusiasm of our younger members, along with remarks from Professor Yoon Sang-Gon, who was a recipient of the 2025 KSE Young Investigator Award, offered a glimpse into the bright future of our society. With the launch of the new 2026–2027 leadership, the Korean Society of Echocardiography is poised for yet another significant leap forward.

We wish all members good health and continued growth in the New Year.
