4th Training Course of the
Korean Society of Echocardiography

January 11, 2026, Lotte hotel, Seoul

Korea Univ. Mi-Na Kim

The Korean Society of Echocardiography Training Course for practitioners was held with great success on January 11, 2026, at Lotte Hotel Seoul. This course was designed with a focus on strengthening the echocardiographic knowledge and practical skills that can be immediately applied in real clinical settings, targeting private practice physicians, military medical officers and public health doctors, residents, nurses, and medical technicians in Seoul.

Despite the cold weather, 327 attendees graced the event with their presence, maintaining a remarkably high level of concentration and engagement through to the end of the lectures. This once again reaffirmed the growing role and importance of echocardiography in frontline clinical practice.

The lecture program was thoughtfully structured to provide practical value in real-world clinical environments, covering: ▲ key points in left ventricular function assessment, ▲ a systematic approach to valvular heart disease, ▲ differential diagnosis strategies for patients presenting with common symptoms such as dyspnea, chest pain, and edema, and ▲ interpretation of atypical or ambiguous findings encountered during actual examinations and the clinical decision-making process. The hands-on sessions were conducted in small-group, close-mentoring format, enabling personalized instruction tailored to each participant's level of proficiency and areas of interest. With ample time allocated for practical training, participants were able to engage in truly hands-on learning which covers actual probe handling, image optimization, and improving measurement. There was positive feedback on the program.

The Korean Society of Echocardiography will continue to broaden its engagement with the clinical community through its training course, actively supporting the enhancement of echocardiographic competency among private practice physicians and young doctors. We are committed to evolving beyond simple knowledge transfer, developing into an educational platform capable of bringing about meaningful change in clinical decision-making. We extend our deepest gratitude to all the physicians who attended, and we look forward to your continued interest and participation in the future.
